| Battery operated units are available when a visual digital readout is all that is required. Multi-gas units are available where the gas to be measured can be selected at the meter. Bidirectionality is now an option for those applications where you want to look at flow in and out of something. |

| WHAT WE ARE |
| UFM FlowStream series flowmeters are designed to accurately measure the mass flow rate of gases. The flow rate is determined by creating a pressure drop across a unique internal restriction, known as Laminar Flow Element (LFE), and measuring differential pressure across it. The restriction is designed such that the gas molecules are forced into parallel paths along the entire length of the passage, creating a laminar flow. Unlike other pressure-flow measuring devices where the flow is turbulent, the relationship between pressure drop and flow is linear which minimizes correction required. |

| WHAT WE ARE NOT |
| Most mass flow devices use the thermal principle. In relation to the FlowStream technology, this makes them slow to read, sensitive to position, causes high power usage and are not available in two wire transmitters or in intrinsically safe designs. |
