Universal Flow Monitors’ Flowmeters for Cooling Water and Coolant

Universal Flow Monitors’ Flowmeters for Cooling Water and Coolant

Universal Flow Monitors, Inc. offers nine distinct types of CoolPoint™ vortex shedding flowmeters for measuring, monitoring, verifying and controlling flows of cooling water, water/glycol coolant or low-viscosity fluids. The CoolPoint line has grown in recent years with additional options added to certain models.

CoolPoint models include:

  • 1/4"-½" models for 4-12 gpm flow
  • 3/4"-2" models for 25-200 gpm flow
  • 1/4"-2" models for 4-200 gpm flow with a temperature transmitter
  • 1/4"-2" battery-powered models for 4-200 gpm flow
  • 1/4"-2" models for 4-200 gpm flow with PROFINET
  • 3"-4" models for 300-600 gpm flow
  • 3/4"-2" models for 6-200 gpm flow with a flow totalizer
  • 3/8"-2" models for 6-200 gpm flow, made of PVC or CPVC $ 1" model for 50 gpm flow designed for monitoring water add on concrete trucks

CoolPoint™ vortex shedding totalizing flowmeters are electronic instruments that have no moving parts to stick or coat and can process water, coolant or fluids that may contain particles. Most CoolPoint models come in a choice of flow bodies of brass or 316 stainless steel with PVDF sensors and Viton® seals. The stainless steel models are designed for low-viscosity corrosive fluids and water with chemicals added.

For complete information on the CoolPoint line, go to flowmeters.com and click on “vortex shedding for cooling water” under the Cooling Water application. The newly redesigned flowmeters.com website starts with the user identifying the application for the flowmeter and proceeds through identifying technologies, picking a solution and if the solution is, for example, a CoolPoint product, choosing product options, building the meter and placing the order.
